Monarca gathered in 2012 inside a basement located in north-east Verona district, Italy. Initially playing Tool & A Perfect Circle tunes, and after some early band members changes, the band began to play some post rock/metal flavoured original music during 2013. They collected their first 5 songs into an eponymous autoproduced EP, recorded during winter 2014 and put out on June 2015.
